MORE TREK PROGRAMS IN ANNAPURNA REGION: |
Annapurna Region lies in the western region of Nepal.
The trekking meets the natural beauty city Pokhara which
is the head quarter of Western Development Region of Nepal.
There are three major trekking routs in this region –
Jomsom, - Annapurna Sanctuary (A.B.C), & Annapurna
circuit. Beshisahar or Gorkha is the Trekking starting
point for Annapurna circuit. Number of short treks of
one to four days duration is also famous in this area.
The famous “Royal Trek”, “Punhill Trek”
are in these categories. Trekking to upper mustang, Tilicho
and other more trekking start from this area. This area
is under ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area project) and
must have to pay Rs. 2000 as entry. The major attraction
of these trekking are Panasonic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiry,
Nilgiri, Himchuli, Gangapurna, Machhapuchere (Fishtail),
Lamjung Himal, Manasalu and more others. The famous mount
view point ‘Pun hill’ 3200m is easy point
for tourist to take sunrise and sunset. This area is rich
in Floura and Fauna such as: - Evergreen oaks, rhododendron
forests and Himalayan griffon, Lammergeir, Rhesus macaque,
common languor, Weasel, Marter etc. The ethnic Gurung,
Thakali, and Pun (magar) villages are in the way. Ghandruk,
Landruk, Ghorepani, Marpha, Ghasa, Jomsom etc are the
ethnic villages of these areas. For these all trek we
can drive to Pokhara, Beshishar or Gorkha by Bus or to
Pokhara & Jomsom by flight too.

in Brief: |

| This trek
pass south of Thorung La between Manang and Jomsom. From
manang the trail goes on the village of Khangsar then
becomes a goat trial scrambling over morains of Tilicho
Tal (4120m) at the foot of Tilicho peak (7132m). Tilicho
is a great Ice lake eastern side of Jomsom and western
side of Manang. All the trial follows the round Annapurna
Route only the route will changes from Manang direct to
Jomsom with crossing high pass 5330m (Merokanto-pass).
This trek is very hard, only experience guide can assist
to trekkers on this trek. |
