is necessary to make trips. In October 1991 the government
of Nepal announced the opening of some restricted area

was directed at upper Mustang and upper Dolpa. The major
trekking opened in 1991 for tourists’ are-

The regulations for the restricted areas were designed
primarily to protect the environment and culture of remote
region and to provide security. In this period, the government
of Nepal changed the rules for these areas, as tourists
can visit these areas easily but they have to take special
permit which is more expensive than other areas. For to
make trip in these area, a group is necessary; no individual
tourist can enter the area.
In 2002 the government of Nepal opened the other restricted
areas and trekking peaks for tourist. These areas are
the borders of Tibet. Mainly ‘Lopa’ and ‘Khampa’
